Hallah Korean Food

This was our 6th night in Melbourne & we have not stopped eating. Looking at my tummy, I was already beginning to understand how a six month's pregnancy felt like.

Roger brought us to this wonderful Korean restaurant with a wierd sounding name. I thought it was Halal the first time I saw it.

But wait a minute. Then I thought it was Wallah.

But when I took a good look at it, I realised that it was actually Hallah.

And all that confusion made me really hungry. I was ready to order but the shelf display distracted me.Now, it's normal to see Korean restaurants having Korean displays that are somehow cultural but as much as I was cracking my head, I couldn't guess what these Korean dudes were so happy about.

Oh, by the way, to pick a good Korean restaurant, you'd have to choose one that is a winner...

... even though it's in volleyball.

The place had a very contemporary feel to it. It didn't really look like the typical Korean restaurant but the next table was full of Korean dudes, so that created the right atmosphere.

If a Korean restaurant is full of white Australians, you'd have doubts. But if a Korean restaurant is full of Koreans, then you'd know it's really good.

NEE: Here's what we ordered:

Clear beef soup~ really simple but really tasty.

Pickled Daikon as side dish

One of our side dish ~ We seriously don't know what this is even after asking the really pretty waitress who speaks Korean English, or was it English Korean?

Any one of you know what this is? It's almost like daikon noodles because it is crispy crunchy with a nice juicy flavour.

Then we ordered a whole series of meat dishes, of which we forgot what they were.

Some kind of grilled pork.

Some kind of grilled duck.

Some kind of side dish.

Korean Fried Chicken ~ originally not in our plan but we ordered it when we saw it at the next table. Order what the Koreans order & you won't go wrong.

We ordered half a chicken and we really wondered how we could have packed this in after all the meat dishes and Koko Black was still somewhere in our guts. But Greg's 6-month tummy seemed to have enough room.

GREG: I was going to say that Nee was probably doing a kimchi impression but that joke is not so fresh anymore. NEE: Yeah prob still a little high on Koko Black. So please ignore this disturbing photo.

GREG: I just had to take a picture of this. This is not something that you'd come across everyday.

We've all heard of The Best/Top Employee of the Month but LUCKY Employee??!!
